Reading the previous post about the MIL with six cats and unsanitary home got me inspired to ask for advice on my own MIL animal situation. From the beginning of our relationship, every time I've gone over to see MIL I've had to endure their overweight boxer drooling on me jumping on me and stepping all over me and my feet. OK. So when LO was born I bring her over for visits after a few weeks, they let their dog jump up etc. And when I made it clear that was NOT OK they acted like I was being unreasonable. FF to now, they've never babysat because I feel he's too aggressive and their loyal to the animal more so than LO. I'm also grossed out, walk in and hit a wall of pee smell. Otherwise house is tidy bit dog runs the place. So.... if you're still reading! Is it unreasonable for me to send LO and DH home for night after this baby comes along as opposed to the overnight visit with my only alternative THAT HOUSE.
