Delayed Cord Cutting?

After touring my hospital, I learned that the birth center there doesn't cut the umbilical cord until it stops pulsing. (This could take up to ten minutes).

At the regular labor & delivery ward, they wait about 30 seconds after birth and then cut it.

The doctors were saying they are currently researching the benefits of delayed cord cutting and the midwives have been practicing it for many years. Are any of you planning on delaying the cutting of the cord? Why or why not?
