Question for Throwing a Shower

So I am currently prego and so is my sister. She isn't due until November and I am due in June. I want to throw her a shower in September, so my LO will be 2 or 3 months at that point. I don't want to bring my LO to the shower since it is about my sister and her baby. Plus, he will be little enough that he will need most of my attention. If I don't bring him, he will be hanging out with DH for the weekend.

My mom thinks I should bring him to introduce to the rest of our family who will not have seen him yet. I feel like this would take attention away from my sister and her baby.
