These gas cramps are going to kill me!

39 weeks here and suffering from major constipation and gas cramps. I've read that women sometimes confuse contractions with severe gas pains - but I'm feeling the pain AND gas (sorry if tmi). Colace seems to help, but I don't want to take it too frequently and then have the opposite effect. I feel like contractions aren't going to be so bad if I can make it through this. Any other sufferers out there?
