random doppler question

Has anyone come across anything in their research of these, that the baby can hear it? 

 

twice recently that I have used it I have gotten kicked (harder than any other time) right on the wand. It doesn't seem like a coincidence and got me wondering...maybe he/she doesn't like it? At first I thought maybe it was the poking, but Ive tried a poking and pushing on my belly a million times since then and it never gets any reaction out of baby.... 

 

edit: and I have read posts of similar reactions to the doppler by other ladies on a few boards
