Is my babe kicking?

Just wondering those of you who have felt your baby kick, where abouts did you feel something? I am 17w 1d and I have felt the"fluttering" feeling twice now.  However, its pretty high, like 1-2 in above my belly button on my left side. Isn't that too high to be my baby?  I'm a first time mom and so excited to start feeling the little one move!  I don't want to get excited too soon though
