The Ring Test

A lady at work just did this on me, where you loop a thread through someone's wedding ring and hold it in front of your belly. Depending on how it moves, it's supposed to predict the baby's gender. Apparently I'm having a girl!

Any other FTMs out there have this "test"? Any STM+s done the test before? Were the result reliable? (Disclaimer: I'm not a big believer in this kind of stuff, and totally plan on relying on medical info to find out my baby's gender, but this was silly and fun.)
