Has anyone changed doctors?

I am 17 weeks and want to switch ob's. The doctor I have been seeing just left with no warning and I am not at all comfortable with the other two doctors in the office. I have a doctor in mind,who is recommended by a friend,I just wonder if she would be ok with starting to see me at this point in my pregnancy. Has anyone ever switched and all went well?
