Switching OBs ??

Does anyone have any experience with switching OBs? My biggest question would be how the billing was handled? With my current OB, I paid a deposit at my first visit then a payment at my second. (My maternity coverage is deductible then 20%, if that matters.). Is everything just itemized out and settled up...then you start fresh with the new OB?
