NBR: Moving to a new State.

I am trying to convince my husband that we should move somewhere it doesn't snow. I have always hated living hear and we are young and our kids are young so now is just as good a time as any. But the problem is he is a Police Officer and our state doesn't transfer very well to many states so our options are basically from what we can tell FL and SC he doesn't like either of those because they get hurricanes and FL has alligators haha. 

He wants to live in the Southwest but he can't transfer there very well. Alas I guess we are stuck in snowy yucky MI.

But this got me thinking what good things would you say about your state and would you encourage people to move to your state?
