man, did not expect to hear this news (loss mentioned)

woke up to news that my friend's 4 y/o son passed away in his sleep yesterday. Some of you may remember me talking about him before - he was shaken as a baby (born 7 weeks early, and shaken at 7 weeks old) and developed cerebral palsy which is heartbreaking enough and now this! They had moved into a new place last week because their other rental had mold in it so there is an autopsy going on now to determine if mold is a cause of death.

 devastating!! we're all in shock and I don't even know how to react to this. It doesn't seem real.  I'm not looking for sympathy - I just have never had to deal with something like this before. The same day she's talking about his birthday cake, she finds out her son has passed. Heavy hearts today.
