Accupuncture???

I am not quite in the third tri, but I thought you guys might have tried this.  I have been having awful problems with my sciatic nerve in my hip. It almost makes me want to drop to the floor its so painful, i've already tried the chiropractor, massage, stretching it out but nothing works I still walk like I am 80 years old sometimes. For only 25 weeks along I feel like I am doomed.

I am terrified of needles but I am desperate for relief. Anyone done this? Did it help? Was it scary?
