2nd appointment

I have my second appointment next tuesday- 12 weeks. We have an ultrasound and then an appointment with the doctor. I am just curious about what happens at these appointments with the doctor...do they do a vaginal exam each visit? Do they just talk to you? Does anyone know if when you hear the heartbeat if it's with the ultrasound doctor (ours is a doctor not a tech) or with your OBGYN??

 I am just excited about seeing the baby again and am curious about what to expect!
