Secondhand pump okay with new parts?

My aunt gave me her Medela PISA and I've ordered all new parts-connectors, valves, tubes, etc. and thought that would make it sterile however I read on another group here that PISA is an open system so I'll never be able to fully sterilize it and sold buy a completely new pump. I'm trying to save the $250, but don't want to risk passing an infection on to my son. Thanks in advance, ladies!
