False labor question.

Since 10:30am this morning, I have been feeling contraction like pressure.  I've had braxton hicks and that just stays with me for a long time and eventually goes away.  The duration is about 40 sec to 80 secs but varies from 20 mins to 5 and just is all over with no consistency .  I know from that, that I am NOT in labor. My question is: IS there a way to know about when real labor might start?  I know everyone is different, but just curious about others experiences. BTW, I'm at 37 weeks and 3 days.
