Can I live without a pump for the first 1.5 months?

I'm expecting our son mid-April.  I just spoke with my insurance and they won't cover an electric pump for me until June 1 when my insurance renews.  Is it conceivable that I could go without an electric pump for about a month and a half?  I'll be home on maternity leave the whole time.  Could I get away with just getting a manual pump to hold myself over until then, or should I bite the bullet and buy an electric before then? 

 Any input would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!
