Spotting

I'm 8 weeks today and scheduled for my first U/S at 1pm.  I started spotting this morning.  Called Dr and he said since there is no pain, I might as well wait until 1pm.  Now, I'm stuck waiting.  Took DS to school and I will go into work for a bit.  Feeling like it is unlikely this baby is okay.  I just pray there is a quick resolution and not a long drawn out miscarriage.  I've heard of people spotting for weeks only to finally officially miscarry.
