How Did Your Doc Calculate Your Due Date?

I know they generally start with the date of your last menstrual period. But many doctors mine included do an early ultrasound to confirm that date, move it, etc. With my DS, the u/s showed a date 2 days off from my calculations so essentially, the same in my mind. With this one, my u/s showed that I was 9 days ahead of what I thought. To be fair, my cycle was superwonky the month I got pregnant and I told my OB that. We weren't temping or actively "trying"...just going with the flow and seeing what happened. Anyway, I think my OB is leaving my due date at the later one. This surprised me as I thought they usually adjusted it if the u/s showed more than a week's difference? I am going to ask him more specifically when I'm in next week. I also had labs done early on, about which he commented that he thought i was further along than i thought by my hcg. But I was just curious how your OBs dated your pg?
