Is it starting?

Last night I noticed some whitish discharge on my toilet paper and around 7PM started with a dull low back ache.  This continued, off and on until 11 when I finally went to bed (I had to go out to a fancy dinner for DH's bday otherwise I would have been in bed sooner!).  I was also having some mild cramping before I went to bed and woke up twice with cramps that felt like menstrual cramps.

It was a rough night (filled with vivid nightmares) but I was able to sleep in a little today.  I don't have the back ache or the cramps or the discharge anymore.

Was it a fluke?  Or does this stuff just start and stop as I get closer to the big day? I am 37 weeks + 4 days today.
