Latching question

Hi my little guy was born last week at 35w 4days 1 wk today! I have my heart set on breastfeeding, but the LC's and pediatrician advised me that he is a bit too young to know how to latch so I have been pumping every 2.5 hours and bottle feeding him. I let him try at the breast first, but he seems disinterested and frustrated and then after I do lots of skin to skin. The docs all assure me that he will get the hang of the latch over the next few weeks, but I am nervous he will get too comfortable with the ease of the bottle and reject the breast forever. Anyone have a similar experience? Thoughts? Thanks in advance!
