HELP my 5 week 2 day LO having hard time latching on

Hi,

My LO is having a hard time latching on and has been since he was born.  He was born 4 weeks early and everyone at the hospital was telling me it was because he was born early that he won't really develop a strong suckling motion until he is about 39-40 weeks old.  Well, he is well over that now and still having a hard time latching on without causing me to be EXTREMELY sore.  I know that he is tongue tied and I was told that causes some soreness so I am hoping after getting his tongue tied snipped tomorrow that will help with the latching on.  However, I think I am going through a low milk supply syndrome.  Any advice would be much appreciated.
