First Appointment Question

Hi ladies! I have my first appointment coming up next week. I will be 7 weeks 2 days. The receptionist told me it will just be a lot of information and they will go over my and my husband's medical history. They said they won't do a pap smear since I just had one. I did ask her if they will do an ultrasound and she said no. My question is, if the doctor doesn't do an u/s at the 1st appointment when is it normally done? It sure would be nice to see some confirmation that everything is going ok!
