How many BF seesions a day?

LO is 7 1/2 months old, and eats 2 purees meals a day, normally 8 oz each. and on a normal day will feed a good 4-5 times, 30mins each. she is a smaller baby, and i feed on demand. currently 16lbs. the doctors don't seemed worried since she IS growing, and IS making all her mile stones, she is just small. apparently both my father and brother were this way until they got older, now both are over 6ft.

my question is, how many times a day does a baby of my LO's age BF? i know every baby is different, but is 4-5 times too little? i have tried forcing a feeding or two, and she simply will refuse it, so i have stopped trying that. she also takes an infant vitamin daily.
