I was hoping you could just share your experience with me, please.
I had to spend 24 hours in L&D last week bc my toddler gave me a pretty severe (though totally, completely unintentional) kick to the belly. They did an u/s to check for placental abruption and, while my placenta looked fine, they discovered that my fluid level was at 8.1. The peri said that anything over 8 is considered "ok" but that she really wants to see it over 10. I know that dehydration could have been a contributing factor to a low reading, but it also seems somewhat unlikely as I had had 2 bags of IV fluid by that point. My blood pressure has been great and I don't have any of the other predisposing factors for low fluid. I'll have a follow up AFI on Thursday to see if it's still low, and I'm trying my best not to worry until then. I just would like to hear from some other moms who have had similar experiences.
