Getting cats ready for baby?

My husband and I have 2 female cats who like to pee on things. Does anyone know how to get them ready for the baby? Right now we have all the baby things in his room and we keep the door closed in there at all times while the cats are out, we put them in the laundry room with food, water and their litter box (which they won't use) at night and then let them out in the morning. I don't want them peeing on his things and we've only got 9 weeks left until our little man makes his first appearance (or is supposed to). Any help would be wonderful!!!! Thank you!
