What's considered the start of labor?
So I started having regular contractions early this morning, about 6 to 9 minutes apart, and I started wondering when it's considered the start of labor.
When I hear women say they were in labor for 12 or 24 hours, is that calculated from the first contraction or when you get admitted to the hospital? Obviously if the water breaks, I'd consider that the start, but I wasn't sure how that time frame was calculated in other instances. Just wondering!
