Slow let down?

Ok so LO is just 4 months old and we've been bfing all along. Never had any problems with slow let down at all until this past weekend. In fact, I would have said I had too forceful a let down just a few weeks ago and I had to let some milk flow into a birp cloth otherwise LO would choke. The last few days, though, it has taken several minutes for my milk to let down, even when pumping. LO gets so upset because he's hungry and the milk isn't flowing so he lets go and cries. I know that they say that your milk supply starts to even out with time so maybe I'm just producing less and this is a side effect? But I'm worried. Is this normal at 4 months?
