Bottle/bedtime question

DH has giving DS a bottle for his last feeding at bedtime while I pump. I'm doing this so DS gets one bottle a day because he starts daycare in two weeks and so I can put his powdered probiotic in it daily. We've been giving him a 4 oz bottle after he nursed a total of 5 to 6 times that day, and sometimes the bottle is only two hours after his last nursing session. Is this too much? Should I do 3 or 3.5 oz instead? He takes all of it but then spits up a little, but he also spits up after each nursing. Its not a lot but enough that he could stand to be changed if we are going somewhere.
