Woke up on payday to find...well...a whole lot less in my bank account than my 17 banked sick days would have led me to believe. I make some phone calls and find out, oh, we actually count your days after the sick days almost 3x as much as we credit for your sick days. Soooo I got $2500 deducted from my paycheck for 7 days not paid and got $800 for the 17 sick days. This also means that even though I went back early and worked 12 days this month, I will get close to zero paycheck next month. Does this make sense? Absolutely not. Can I do anything about it? Nope.
I am just so lucky that I happen to have a sister who really owes me one. She let me borrow the $2500 that we'll pay back with our tax return in February. She said that I did the same for her once. While that's true, I'm still so grateful!
What asshats. Seriously.
