Checklist for baby necessities

I am a planner. I know it is a bit early and I have lots of time but I can't help but tinker around with a registry. I found this cool checklist that kinda tells you everything you need. Except I am totally overwhelmed by it all. I don't even know what the heck a receiving blanket is. LOL! I figure by the time I get through the list I will be an expert on baby stuff. Does anything pop out at you as totally unnecessary? Any other good lists out there? This is so fun.
