insurance sadness...

So my company funds an HRA for their employees.  Every year if you don't use 2000 it rolls over to the next.  DH and I don't have any medical issues that requite constant use (thankfully) so needless to say we have a nice chunk in our HRA.

Now for the sad part...

My company is transitioning over to being fully owned by a company we partnered with 5 years ago.  Because of this our insurance, instead of ending in Oct. will be ending in about a month.  I tried to call them and my OB office and see if I can pay my labor up front with the huge sum of money in my HRA but they won't allow it.  In a month, its all gone.  Zero to show for it.  

This makes me sad.  I wish there was something that could be done.

Any insurance savvy folks know of something the insurance company might not be telling me?   :l
