RCS w/ stairs

I didn't have stairs last time I had a c-section so, along with taking care of DS once I get home, one thing that's really been on my mind is being able to go upstairs to my own bed. I just can't imagine a few nights stay in the hospital and coming home and not being able to sleep in my own bed.  Obviously, I remember enough to know I'll be so sore I won't be bounding up and down them, but if you've recently had a RCS and your memory is more fresh than mine, do you think I could go up and down them gingerly say, twice a day?
