Biting!?

Holy cow. My 8 month son has discovered biting and I don't know what to do. It's awful. How would I teach him not to? I reacted earlier and it got a big laugh from him and that's definitely not what I want, but it caught me completely off guard! Help, please! I want to continue nursing him until he self weans, but ouch!
