FTM with questions! Help?

So I am a FTM and EBF my 3 week old. My question today is: How do I know when I should be switching to the other breast? He usually eats off both, but I am unsure if I switch too soon etc? During the day I feel like if he is awake he is ALWAYS hungry (maybe that is normal?) I just want to make sure I am not doing a disservice to him or to my milk supply! Thanks for any input..
