Yeast Infection/ Thrush Questions

My son has a diaper rash that was diagnosed as a yeast infection. 

For the last few days, my nipples have been sore, and it is painful to nurse. I read that it could be hormonal (Like, Im ovulating, or about to get my first pp period), which is very likely. Or, it could be caused by thrush. He has no signs of thrush in his mouth, but he does have the rash.

Anyone know if these could be related, and what to do about it? He is on prescription cream.
