Ways to tell parents the news.....

we plan on telling my in laws tomorrow about our new exciting news. we are going to pick up a classic childrens book like "where the wild things are"? and write inside "please read this to me in january, or february if i am late. love, baby (last name)." and video tape their reaction unwrapping and reading the book. what are some ways you announced the news to your parents??
