Burning in nipple

I am working with the boys on getting better latches and trying to heal my nipples, but they still like to slide back to shallow latches A LOT. And when I tandem feed them I can't always catch them before the damage is done.

Anyway, my nipples are really hurting this morning, almost a burning sensation that seems to radiate outwards towards the rest of my boobs. Is this from the bad latch, or do I need to be on alert for a different problem? Anyone have any experience? Thanks!
