help! was that my mucous plug?

yesterday i had my 36 week exam, i am 1 cm dialated.  after the exam i had a little bit of bleeding which i assume is normal. 

this morning in the shower i noticed i had some more discharge than normal and it was slick like egg whites.

 i just went to the bathroom and when i wiped, there was about an inch thick chunck of brown slimey discharge on the tp... was that my mucus plug?  or just some leftover spotting from my cervical exam?

i know discharge can have some changes at this point in pregnancy. 

if anyone has had cervical exams, have you had bleeding/more discharge afterwards???
