How long does it take for LO to reach hind milk?

My LO has been super gassy after feedings lately and I am wondering if that is because we have been doing shorter, more frequent feedings the past few days. I read where baby getting only fore milk can cause a lot of gas. My son generally feeds from one side per sitting and spends about 5 minutes sucking pretty strong and then about another 5 plus minutes of smaller comfort sucking- he's kind of a lazy eater. Do you think he is reaching any hind milk or getting only fore milk? TIA!
