DS2 is currently in the hospital with a possible UTI (still waiting on culture results). Because he is not feeling well, he missed a few feedings, so I was pumping to keep my supply and to try to give him a bottle when he would not nurse. The pediatric nurse told me they only have a freezer for stored milk, but no fridge. She proudly told me that it can keep for months frozen, but had no idea how long it was for a deep freezer or for the fridge. I had to tell her! I'm still a little confused why they would not have a fridge available, since I now have to make sure I can transport frozen milk home when we leave, and it makes it more difficult to feed DS if I need to use it. Oh well. I just still can't believe she didn't even know anything about the "rules" except for the freezer. She even said that they toss it after 48hrs, which I will be really pissed if I go to take it home tomorrow and it's gone.
