How long do you store BM in fridge?

I know the guidelines vary based on who is recommending them, but I was curious on the max length of time ladies here have freshly expressed milk stored in the fridge. Me I'm not comfortable going more than 4 or 5 days before use or freeze. Medela says up to 8, but that seams like a long time.
