My little one has been having decent feedings on one side, but then after I burp him and move him over to the other breast, he seems full and uninterested. He spends over 30 minutes on the first side before he breaks his latch, so I hope that he is getting enough. I would say it is about 10-15 min of vigorous sucking and swallowing followed by 10-15 minutes of little comfort sucks before he breaks away. He feeds frequently, about every hour to hour and a half. He is 2 weeks old and we are still trying to get him to gain weight steadily. During night time feedings I top off with a BM bottle to make sure he is full and he goes down into his crib easier/sleeps better. Is it OK to only feed from one side each feeding as long as I alternate sides each time? I don't want to end up unbalanced or with supply issues. Any other advice and tips are greatly appreciated. TIA!
