Eating every 2 hours at 3 months?

My LO is eating every two hours during the daytime and will be three months old this week. She is EBF. Is there something I can do to encourage her to go longer? I can't get hardly anything done during the day! At night she goes 8-9 hours.

I've tried to simply make her wait until 2.5 hours, this has resulted in 30-40 minutes of crying that is consolable only by holding her or feeding her. Am I "giving in" too easily? Or is this tactic of forcing her to wait never going to produce a good result anyway?
