cord blood banking?

I feel lost... I asked my OB about it and she said since we don't have public cord banking in MN my choices are semi-private or private.  I see the millions of ads in every magazine but am overwhelmed by the choices.

Anyone make a decision they can share?  How much does it cost and does your insurance or Heathcare Spending Account cover it?
