high lapise and metal smelling frozen milk?

Does anyones bm smell bad when thawed? With DD, I noticed frozen milk started to smell like metal and I threw out a 150 oz freezer stash - sigh! I read that it can be high levels of lapise enzyme in the bm and that you can scold it right after pumping to try and slow it down when frozen. Has anyone had experience with this?
