NBR: Cell phones for younger kids... WYO?

So, a lady at my work, her stepdaughter turned 12 today, and her and her H (the girls father) bought her a brand new iPhone...

What is your opinion on younger children with cell phones?

My opinion.... too dam* young for a cell phone, especially an iPhone... I couldn't get a cell phone till I bought one myself, and could pay for it all on my own...
