Forceful letdown and spraying... HELP!

I've been EBF for 5 weeks and since the beginning I've had very forceful letdown to the point where milk sprays out of my breasts. My LO latches on and pulls back when letdown starts (lots of spraying), then I have to wait until the spraying stops. This is really really annoying because milk gets everywhere, and at night when I don't want to turn the lights on I can't see what's happening.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I thought my supply / letdown would have adjusted by now, but obviously it hasn't. Hmph.
