2nd time mom's alternative wear for L & D

I'm not really into wearing a hospital gown during labor and delivery, not so much for the vanity reason, but more for function.

I've been in them before for other surgeries and they are just too big/long and end up making me feel like I a swimming in a bag (and an ugly bag at that).

I was wondering if there were any second time moms out there that wore something else for L & D? What did you wear?

I know I have to wear something on my bottom half that will be easily accessible to the medical staff, and need to have my arm and back accessible as I will be having an epidural and will have an IV in at some point. Hospital is fine with me wearing something other than the gown if I comply with these.

Any suggestions are welcome and needed as I would like to take care of this sooner rather than later so I have these to pack in my hospital bag.
