ovulating while BF and on minipill?

I know that you never know when you will start ovulating while EBF.  When you start the minipill, does that jump start your system so that if you mess up on the pill you will ovulate?  Or, is your body still not going to ovulate until it's ready?  Makeing you double protected?  I EBF and am on the minipill, was thinking about that this morning so I thought I'd ask if anyone has read anything about it.
