Infant life jackets

My family spends a lot of time on our boat in the summer and originally I was thinking that we wouldn't want to bring our newborn on the boat because of the waves, sun, etc. But thinking about it more now, it seems likely that we'll take her for boat rides especially in the evenings when the lake is calmer, etc. I'm starting to research good infant life jackets that we could use for her when she's very little (i.e. as young as 6 weeks potentially) I don't mind spending a little bit more if it means she's comfy and if the life jacket is well made, safe and would last her at least one more summer. Any recommendations for things to look for/avoid? Thanks much
